How do you vent a new shed-style roof of an addition built with high end against the ting building?
The air comes in from the soffit, but there is no ridge for a ridge vent and it does not make sense to cut a hole in the roof where the water from the roof above comes down. Do you put small gable type vents in the sides above the insulation where the addition connects to the original building? Would solar- powered vents make sense?

- In the UK you would use a breathable membrane under your roof tiles and therefore not need to vent the roof anywhere else. Maybe you have this fitted?
- roof vents for single slope roofs are available and you can use wall louvers on the side walls high up. in either case you will need intake air source low in the wall to get circulation. you will want to use a closable type for winter conditions. the vents should be below the insulation.
- gable vents should work
