Is 12 Feet too long of a run for a bathroom exhaust fan duct to an outside gable wall?
I want to vent the fan outside the gable wall. The fan is about 12 feet from the wall. Of course the duct will be in the attic.

- not at all that will be fine
- Insulate the pipe so you don't have condensation issues.
- The total maximum run for the average bathroom by Wisconsin building code is 25 feet with no turns. For every 90 degree turn deduct 4 or is it 5 feet (hmm I better look that up). So based on what you are saying I don't think you will have a problem. You may wish to leave a "dip" in the vent hose if it is above the insulation layer to prevent "back drips" from condensation in the colder months.
- It depends on the fan. It's probably fine, but you should read the installation manual for the exact specs. If you haven't bought the unit yet, you can go to the Panasonic or NuTone website and find manuals.
