when re-shingle gable house -- can you use continuous ridge vent and wind turbine-style vents together?
Public Comments
- yes
- You can, but the turbine style vents should be enough to do the trick of venting the attic, if you have any sort of wind blowing on a regular basis. If you do not have much wind, then go ahead and install the ridge vent too... it won't hurt.
- Sure wouldn't hurt a thing, might help. @@ < *^^*
- The answer to this question would depend on whether you have a continuous vented soffit at the bottom of gables the full Length of the house. If you do you do not need the turbine vents with a ridge vent. If you do not have vented soffits then yes, use the turbine vents and gable vents but no ridge vent. Good luck
