Ventilation Louvres

when re-shingle gable house -- can you use continuous ridge vent and wind turbine-style vents together?

Public Comments

  1. yes
  2. You can, but the turbine style vents should be enough to do the trick of venting the attic, if you have any sort of wind blowing on a regular basis. If you do not have much wind, then go ahead and install the ridge vent too... it won't hurt.
  3. Sure wouldn't hurt a thing, might help. @@ < *^^*
  4. The answer to this question would depend on whether you have a continuous vented soffit at the bottom of gables the full Length of the house. If you do you do not need the turbine vents with a ridge vent. If you do not have vented soffits then yes, use the turbine vents and gable vents but no ridge vent. Good luck
