Are there any plants that would flourish in a cellar?
I want to make my cellar - which has no natural daylight or ventilation -an attractive place to be and would love a few plants to pep things up. Does anyone know of any plants (not mushrooms please!) that would flourish in these conditions? I don't want plastic either! Cheers

- Ferns perhaps or cannabis
- Rubber plants and Peace Lillies are both tolerant of low light areas.
- Plants need light, there is no getting away from that.
- You can only grow plants in light. It's possible to buy daylight light bulbs or grow-lights which you'd need to have hanging over the plants and switched on at least 12 hours a day. Is it really worth it? If so you can buy these lighting systems at places that specialise in hydroponics.
- You can give this a try. The ZZ plant, I have one. Everyone loves it. They will tolerate almost any conditions. http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/showimage/12300/
