I no there r some natural ventilation buildings, but can u get natural ventilation just by opening windows?

- The answer is "Yes you can". However, several factors will determine the effectiveness of such ventilation. Mainly, the position of the windows, the direction of seasonal winds, the unobstructed flow of wind from an open window to other appropriate open windows, size of the windows and buildings and other obstructions in the close vicinity of this building. All these factors will play an important role. Further, you need ventilation in all rooms near the ceilings to let out the stale warm air.
- You don't need to open a window to have natural ventilation. Most homes are drafty and air will leak in from cracks around doors and windows. So where does it go? Out the chimney. A tall chimney can induce a draft all by itself.
