Ventilation Louvres

What kind of door with some ventilation would help solve a sound problem in my apartment caused by the a/c? The door separating the a/c from the kitchen is the cheapest louver over louver thing out there. Closing the door basically makes it look a little nicer and keeps any pets you may have from playing with gas lines which are also there for the heater. Sound of the thing just starts humming away once it gets too stinking hot here. The sound competes with the TV if I want to watch something & I can hear it from the bedroom as well. The door right now is a piece of crap that must have been on clearance at Wal-Mart or something. I want to go to my leasing office with a complaint but I don't want them to say there is nothing they can do. Is there any door that would provide decent ventilation that can sort of muffle sound? Good brand name door??
Looking for a server rack door manufacturer.? I am trying to locate a company that manufacturers a server rack with a specific style of door. It is a full height rack with a metal door. It is solid metal with two sections one on the upper and another on the lower section of pressed out metal 'louver' ventilation sections. Does anybody know of a manufacturer of this style of door?
Getting rid of mould on clothes if you live in the tropics? I live in Darwin, and we've recently moved into an older apartment, that is ventilated by louvres and fans. In less than two weeks many of the clothes in our wardrobe have been attacked by mould. I have two questions. 1. Can we save our clothes? We've tried spraying things with a mixture of oil of cloves and water before (when living in another place) and that's seemed to prevent further mould, but not cleaned the clothes already 'infected'. It's the wet season right now, so we can't hang clothes in the sun - it won't be sunny here for months! 2. How do we reduce mould in the future? Our room is constantly open for ventilation, and we don't have doors on our wardrobe. I've read about de-humidifiers, but I don't think that's going to work in this case! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
How can I cool my garage? I have seen this question asked before, but nothing seems to apply. I have ventilated my garage with a gable ventilation fan (covered by a nice looking vented cover on the outside) I have tried a 12000 btu portable a/c unit vented through my garage door (it is cut to same size and covered with a dryer vent type cover so that louvers come open when it air is pushed out) When that wasn't working (my garage still staying at 89 degrees + with a/c) we bought a portable evaporative cooling system...massive huge, still no help. We just recently (before trying to cool it) added R-13 insulation to walls and covered them with wafer board. We are at our wits end, this is serving as a family room, so we have got to get this cooled down. Please help! Ohio Resident very hot here 94 degrees today to be exact.
